Hello all WP-Users!
Since a few days, I have a new printer: A Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 6P (600  
dpi/PCL 6). It's a nice machine, but the printer comes only with printer  
drivers for Windows and I need a printer driver for *WP 5.1-DOS* (and one  
for *Presentations 2.0-DOS* too)!
Hewlett-Packard has no DOS-drivers and they told me, to write my problem  
to COREL-WordPerfect; but COREL too could not help me and said to me,  
there only exists a driver for WP 6.0x...
So, my question: Is there anybody, who can help me? I know that the  
printer can be used with a driver for the LaserJet 5P (600 dpi but only  
PCL 5), but I'm looking for a driver, which uses all features of the  
LaserJet 6P (i.e. PCL 6)...
Another question: Exists a 600 dpi-printer-driver for Presentations 2.0,  
which could be used, because there is no originally driver for the  
LaserJet 6P? It would be very nice to find a 600 dpi-driver, which I can  
use with the 6P together with Presentations 2.0 (DOS) without loosing the  
ability to print with 600 dpi...                           ;-)

Can't comment on Presentation drivers, but there certainly is a driver 
for WP 5.1/DOS.  We still have 5 or 6 people running this environment.  
Look again on the Corel/WP FTP driver site.

We found out the same thing with WP5.2+ for windows and the HP 682c
deskjet printer.  So my wife does the basic work in WP5.2+ then
imports the work to another program, ie MS word 6.0 and prints from
there.  Since she prefers WP 5.2+ to MS-word 6.0, she finds this the
best way to acheive her goal, without buying new software.  Why the
windows 3.11 drivers do not take control, we do not know.  It appears
that Hewlet Packard and Corel just did not communicate on the drives
for the Word Perfect programs. We the users are the losers!  This fact
that the average users are the losers, seems to be the result of many
new software packages.  New is not always better, which is why so many
of us still like the WP-5.1... series of the program.
