    Making a switch to OS/2 Warp may not be a bad thing for you then.

the internet is just soooo much better than DOS/Windows 3.x.  Not only that, 
but OS/2 Warp comes with a BonusPak filled with little goodies.  Since you 
mentioned wordprocessing and spreadsheets; the BonusPak has IBM Works free.  
Wordprocessor, spreadsheet, chartmaker, database, report writer, and personal 
info manager.  The BonusPak has some other stuff, too.
    I'd say about 75% of all Window 3.x proggies will work under OS/2 Warp, 
and same would probably apply for DOS stuff.
