Actually, exposing one's program version (especially in vastly
more public venues like usenet) can attract the social engineers
that think that they can phish you out and steer you to a site
that would take advantage of a security weakness.
I was able to eliminate broadcasting my TB version, but the
"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.16)
Gecko/20101125" crud is still there. :(
