Hello everyone,



I've been a Binkleyterm booster from when I started, and still am,

but the terminal mode has some glaring weaknesses which either should be 

addressed,

or the terminal mode itself dropped.  



Many times, when calling a bbs which insists on using ansi graphics, I've 

gotta wade through all that crappola.  AS a speech user the garbage 

characters obscure prompts, etc which are necessary.  



To compound the problem, the damn terminal seems to want to omit 

characters in the middle of words, etc.  

THis makes it almost unusable as a reliable terminal mode.  

All of the systems I'm calling with it use n 8 1, but, I can access them 

with any other term program and have no problem.  

This problem doesn't occur with any consistency, just at certain times.  

I"ve had it happen both on this machine and on my personal machine. This 

machine is using a buggy version of bnu, v 1.8 something or other.  Could 

this be contributing to the problem?
