6 girls and 2 boys in our family... the boys were number 6 and 8... when
I, the oldest, started college, they were 7 and 1... But as far back as
I remember, we all had some sort of chores according to our abilities,
whether cleaning or in the kitchen or laundry... and the older looked
after the younger...

By the time I had my own kid, I'd decided I wasn't going to clean up
after other people any more... so he was responsible for his own room
(and had to keep his stuff picked up elsewhere in the house)... He was
told that it was his mess, and eventually he WOULD have to clean it up,
before he left home, if not before... I did start to doubt my strategy
at one point, when the room started to fill up... But, the summer
before he left for college, he mucked out the room totally... Dozens of
garbage bags went out, and an amazing amount of missing stuff was found,
but he had the room totally cleaned bedore he left... And, learned his
lesson permanently... (G)

JK> I never need convincing of eating plenty of chocolate
Me, neither... but I always like having more good reasons to back it
up... ;)
