WC>Geez CA is tough if they have mobile IR smog detectors to nab violators.

They are the toughest State i nthe US on Automobile Polution. And untill
recently had Tougher(Lower) limits on tail pipe emissions then any other
state.
As fro the Mobiel IR monitoring becaseu of the present Budget Crunch
they don't have money to deploy them as much as they want. They wewre
mostly used in the Los Angeles area though because that is whwere the
Polution is the biggest problem. We have problems here in San Deigo also
but more then 1/2 of that iws becasue the prevailing winds blow the LA
Smog over our area.
Andohter PLUS, if you can look at it like that, of the budget crunch is
that most of the time the Highway Patrol's fleet of Speeding Spotter
Planes are grounded. :-)
