I had this same problem when attempting (operative word) to upgrade from 5.1+ 
to 6.1. Submitted a bug report but never got any satisfaction -- WP could not 
reproduce the problem.
Have you had this problem with tables that were created anew in v7? I _think_ 
it may be due to importing tables from an earlier version of WP that created 
some kind of incompatibility.
