This may sound funny, but it is worth a try. About a year ago, I tried putting 
up telegard and for some strange reason. When Using msyncfoss, it also would 
lock up when a user logged on. Not during the logon process but just as the bbs
was loading on to the log on process. I switched to syncfoss, which actually 
made Telegard run slower, but the lockups stopped. Maybe try a different 
fossil, just for the heck of making sure that is not the problem, might help.
