I will answer, but not quote. My AG like our dog. Started whistling and 
calling his name. He is about 4. I did not let him out as soon as I got in 
this afternoon and he got a bit nippy. He is pretty vocal. I have noticed he 
or she is a bit more timid about unfamiliar surroundings than most Amazons. 
He wants plenty of attention. Reminds me of the wifes ex-Cockatoo.
I want out and open the door.  I leave the television on for him during the 
day. He has a pretty good handle on the English language. I'm not sure about 
all Greys, but this one is the smartest parrot I have had. Including DYH, 
Nape and Mexican Red Head.  Opps, first line... likes our dog.
