an alternate route is to investigate Win32PRN (which only works in Black at the
moment), but be warned it is only in beta and can get tricky. In principal it
"should" support most Inkjet printers with win32 drivers running
under ODIN.

I agree with other comments - watch out for the price of replacement cartridges,
it's now common that it is cheaper to buy a new printer with cartridges than to
buy colour plus black replacement cartridges for an existing printer.

Also agree, if you can stretch to a laser printer (get one that emulates HP LJ2 if
possible) it's worth doing.
