My error.  Yes I do have the file on \os2\boot on my eCS 1.1 systems 
also.  Reason I never see it [revision on boot] is that I have 
altf2on.$$$ running on all systems [still]. If I disable altf2on.$$$ 
with the W4FP16, I do get the correct kernel revision, not the one shown 
with ver/r. Altf2on.$$$ disables the Warp4 logo screen on boot, where it 
is normally shown.  As I have been using altf2on.$$$ since it became an 
option, I can't remember which FP was current when the revision was 
first displayed on boot.
My eCS 1.2 is the GA kernel [14.100c].
