IMHO.
No, absolutely not.
RDS is a functionality which has been added to normal FM radio, and only 
carries small amount of text.
DAB is digital audio plus data.
RDS is backwards compatible (simply won't be noticed by old fashioned 
radios), DAB is not compatible at all.
