Yeah.. that's because the printer companies tried to play quick and dirty
with color inkjet printing hardware by selling the printers cheap and then
jacking the prices up on the supplies.

If they'd sold the printers at reasonable prices, and would sell the
supplies at reasonable prices, they'd make profits on all product lines.

Ya know.. when the cost of a replacement printer is only slightly more than
the cost of a full set of ink cartridges, ya gotta wonder what the point
is.
