Hi Nancy,

NB> (G) NB>> Actually, she was mostly kidding... :) Except for the
 NB> missing
 NB> NB>> Wegmans part, anyway... ;)

RH> I don't miss them but I do enjoy shopping in them when I have the
RH> chance. I have a good variety of stores between here and Raleigh to
RH> choose from; depending on what I need, I can get probably almost
RH> everything Wegman's offers, in other places.

NB> Just not likely all in the same place... ;)

No, but that's normal.

NB> NB>>> And then to have the second one open up right across the street
NB> NB>>> from where she'd moved, that just clinched it... (G)
 NB> RH>> That is convenient!
 NB> NB>> Certainly was. :)

RH> Won't happen where we live tho, got houses across the street.

NB> Not sure I'd want one right across the street from me, anyway...
NB> Within walking distance, or even 5 minute drive (like I used to have)
 NB> is good
 NB> enough for me... ;)

Agreed; it would be too much to have it across the street.

NB> RH>>> It would be nice to get one the size that the Shipps have in
NB> RH>>> their area but I'd gladly settle for one the size that is in
 NB> RH>>> Brockport.
NB> NB>>> Their usual m.o. nowadays seems to be the bigger stores...
NB> NB>>> especially when opening new market areas.... dunno if they'd
NB> scale NB>>> down a little for WF after Raleigh...
 NB> RH>> It's actually Cary they're looking at--but they sort of flow
NB> into RH>> each other. There would be enough distance between the two
NB> that a RH>> good sized store in both locations would be workable.
NB> NB>> Pretty much all they build nowadays are the larger ones... And
NB> NB>> some of the medium sized ones locally have been remodeled to
NB> NB>> become larger, like the one down the (back) street from the
NB> church, NB>> on Mt Read Blvd...

RH> OK, so we will probably get a good sized one. There are enough people
RH> in the area to support it.

NB> That's apparently what they are looking for... especially if there are
 NB> enough sufficiently affluent people....

In Cary, yes, there are more affluent people. WF is less so, but enough
to probably support a store, just in numbers of shoppers.

NB> NB>> It's fairly unlikely, actually, that they'd be considering TX,
NB> since NB>> that's moving further inland from the Coast... so far all
 NB> the
NB> NB>> expansion has still been East Coast states... But the market
NB> might NB>> be appealing to them, all the same....

RH> You never know, unless you're part of corporate headquarters. (G)

 NB> Exactly... :)

Of which, neither of us are. (G)

NB> RH>> suitcase room or weight to take extra acquisitions back.
NB> NB>> I think she was already putting together a box of things to mail
 NB> NB>> to herself...

 RH> Smart thinking.

NB> But I don't think it included any goodies from Wegmans.... I think she
NB> merely slaked the thirst by getting stuff while she was still in range
NB> and could... some things don't mail well.. ;)

Depends on what she got. (G)

NB> RH>> Yes, and having an airline that has such a lenient allowance on
NB> RH>> luggage made it very nice for us. A friend just flew (with her
NB> family) RH>> out west on a different (budget) airline and got nickel
NB> & dimed to RH>> death on charges/surcharges for everything, including
 NB> a seat that RH>> reclined.

NB> Kinda adds up to be more expensive... one doesn't always think of
NB> adding in all those extras to the seemingly bottom line...

They are not going to fly that airline again, nor use the car rental
agency they went with (on a relative's advice).

NB> RH>> Hope so. We'll have the camper plus the car we can load up with
NB> RH>> goodies, both from there and Olindo's.
NB> NB>> You'll be able to get more than usual, now... :)

RH> To a certain extent, yes.

 NB> Still can't go totally overboard... ;)

No, we can only tow a certain weight so we have to keep that in mind.

NB> NB>>> heard... :) Bekah went on to get her masters as Nurse
 NB> NB>>> Practioner... she's a pediatric nurse, NICU in particular... :)
NB> RH>> Sounds like she's doing well then. I'm not sure where Steve's
NB> sister RH>> is working now, or in what field of nursing but she's not
NB> retired yet. NB>> Nurses, especially good ones, are in high demand...
 NB> :)

RH> I thought about it at one time, but it wasn't my calling.

NB> LIkewise, nor mine... And neither of our bodies could deal with the
NB> physical strains of the job.... I'd still be tempted were it not for
 NB> that... :)

OTOH, I've found other areas that fit my interests/abilities/etc much
more so than something like nursing.
