That sounjds like they are talking about whhole Engine management
computer box. Actualy a Modified one. They used to sel lthem too for
several cars. The Audi Turbocharged and also the Datsun Turbo car.
Both cars came alive with the replacement units. NOT approved for sale
in California of Course.
The switch would make it workable but wouldn't help our Air Quality any
.Plus the Highway Patrol here has mobile Infrared monitoring units that
can get a SMOG reading o na moving car. I suspect they would nail you
quite hard for modifing the car.
You can do some smaller tweeks but the return is basicly not worth it.
The Engineers have fairly well reached a balalce between Power and
Polution with the Stock unit.
