I have the VIA sound chipset VIA 82C686A/B rev50.  I downloaded 
uniaudio drivers about 6 months ago and they didn't work. I went to the
uniaudio forum for help and was sent new files that do work. I believe
they've come out with a new version since that should be updated. Do
you have the latest version?
