Hi Nancy,

NB> all... RH>> Does she thing she is able to get a Wegman's to open up
 NB> just by
NB> RH>> moving to a local area that has none? (G)
NB> NB>> She was hoping that she might be a magnet for Wegmans stores,
NB> seeing NB>> as how it had worked twice before... ;) I think that
 NB> first VA store

RH> Just happenstance, but why not let her think she brought them? (G)

NB> Actually, she was mostly kidding... :) Except for the missing
 NB> Wegmans part, anyway... ;)

I don't miss them but I do enjoy shopping in them when I have the
chance. I have a good variety of stores between here and Raleigh to
choose from; depending on what I need, I can get probably almost
everything Wegman's offers, in other places.

NB> there NB>> for a couple of years already... And then to have the
NB> second one open NB>> up right across the street from where she'd
NB> moved, that just clinched NB>> it... (G)

 RH> That is convenient!

 NB> Certainly was. :)

Won't happen where we live tho, got houses across the street.

NB> RH>> It would be nice to get one the size that the Shipps have in
NB> their RH>> area but I'd gladly settle for one the size that is in
NB> Brockport. NB>> Their usual m.o. nowadays seems to be the bigger
NB> stores... especially NB>> when opening new market areas.... dunno if
NB> they'd scale down a little NB>> for WF after Raleigh...

RH> It's actually Cary they're looking at--but they sort of flow into each
RH> other. There would be enough distance between the two that a good
RH> sized store in both locations would be workable.

NB> Pretty much all they build nowadays are the larger ones... And some of
NB> the medium sized ones locally have been remodeled to become larger,
NB> like the one down the (back) street from the church, on Mt Read
 NB> Blvd...

OK, so we will probably get a good sized one. There are enough people in
the area to support it.

NB> NB>>> She says she's ready to write a letter
NB> NB>>> to Danny, pleading with him to give her back her access... ;)
NB> RH>> He might write back telling her to move to a place that has one.
 NB> (G) NB>> He might... (G) One never knows, though... :)

 RH> True. (G)

NB> It's fairly unlikely, actually, that they'd be considering TX, since
NB> that's moving further inland from the Coast... so far all the
NB> expansion has still been East Coast states... But the market might
NB> be appealing to them, all the same....

You never know, unless you're part of corporate headquarters. (G)

NB> hooked... NB>>> ;) She was here in town for the memorial service
 NB> last week...
NB> RH>> Did she stock up on her favorite Wegman's goodies while in town?
NB> NB>> Couldn't... she was flying out of Rochester.... Bad enough that
NB> she'd NB>> acquired more clothes from her sisters along the way...

RH> We've mailed stuff to ourselves when we've flown and not had the
RH> suitcase room or weight to take extra acquisitions back.

NB> I think she was already putting together a box of things to mail to
 NB> herself...

Smart thinking.

RH> A few years ago when we flew out west for Christmas, we each took a
RH> checked bag & carry on. Southwest allows 2 checked bags for free so
RH> we just bought another suitcase for the extra stuff and checked it.

NB> That worked out fine, then... :)

Yes, and having an airline that has such a lenient allowance on luggage
made it very nice for us. A friend just flew (with her family) out west
on a different (budget) airline and got nickel & dimed to death on
charges/surcharges for everything, including a seat that reclined.

NB> NB>> She'd flown into Boston, rented a car there, and had spent some
NB> time NB>> driving around the East Coast, visiting family and friends
NB> in VA, PA NB>> and NY before ending up in Rochester in time for the
NB> service... The NB>> trip had been planned before, and she extended
NB> it just a little for NB>> the service...

 RH> God's timing--perfect as, always.

 NB> Absolutely. :)

NB>> Hopefully she had a chance to at least get some of her favorite
NB> NB>> Wegmans goodies whilst in the area... :)

RH> Hope so. We'll have the camper plus the car we can load up with
RH> goodies, both from there and Olindo's.

NB> You'll be able to get more than usual, now... :)

To a certain extent, yes.

NB> RH>> Steve's younger sister got a 2 year nursing degree just out of
NB> high RH>> school but a few years ago went to Robert's to get her B.S.
NB> in nursing. NB>> It's a good school for nursing, from what I've
NB> heard... :) Bekah went NB>> on to get her masters as Nurse
 NB> Practioner... she's a pediatric nurse, NB>> NICU in particular... :)

RH> Sounds like she's doing well then. I'm not sure where Steve's sister
RH> is working now, or in what field of nursing but she's not retired yet.

NB> Nurses, especially good ones, are in high demand... :)

I thought about it at one time, but it wasn't my calling.
