subject: ZIF socket ?

Hello Jim !

JH> HS&f combos I have here, they are all so wide that the lever to release
JH> the cpu chip from the ZIF socket is covered up. Maybe I could do some
JH> hacksawing on the heatsink and come up with a
"Frankenstein" HS&f
JH> combo which would clear the lever?

Even if you were to do this, Jim, are not the two large hooks
grabing some tabs on the ZIF socket itself ? These hooks have to be
released for anything to be removed. I am not looking at one here,
just using my personal RAM, not DDR ! Hee !

 Have a great day.
