Hi Janis,

JK> Yes, for sure I finished the antibiotic. I know that if you don't
JK> finish it, the infection can come back and hit you twice as hard :(
JK> Once I knew I could tolerate this one, I was so relieved.
I would imagine so; you don't want to go back to the doctor for a
reaction to what's supposed to help you. I had a bad reaction once but
we were able to handle it over the phone and talking it over the next
time I saw the doctor. One of these "supposed to help" meds didn't help
me.

JK> That's great.. darn I hope I see some flowers soon - it's been warm
JK> and is supposed to be getting warmer this week so I wouldn't be
JK> surprised to see some :)
Maybe so, we picked that tomato today and more are coming along in back
of it.

JK> One of the gifts Ron bought me at Christmas time is the Phipips Avance
JK> Pasta maker.. at about $280/300 it is such a worthwhile thing to have.
JK> You can make regular gluten pasta, or GF pasta, and both taste
JK> incredibly good.
JK> Here's a link to it:

JK> This is a great video showing how easy it is to use:
JK> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gU1iyxiuCV8
JK> It's the best pasta maker I ever spent $$ on :)
Nice, but we don't make pasta very much any more. We've cut way back on
how much we eat of it so as not to spike my carbs too much. A bit, with
a good portion of protein now and then is OK, but even once a week is a
bit chancy for me.
JK> when she comes to visit:
JK> Place dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk to combine. Pour into the
JK> Philips Pasta & Noodle Maker. Set to one cup setting and start the
JK> machine. Meanwhile, crack the eggs into the liquid jug and whisk with
JK> a fork. As the machine is going, gradually add the egg mix until all
JK> incorporated. Follow the remaining steps as pasta is extruded. Cook
JK> for 5-6 minutes or to your liking.

JK> It is incredible to me how well this pasta machine works, and for GF
JK> noodles, it's fantastic. For Ron and I, I also make whole wheat
JK> noodles with a
JK> combination of WW flour, 00 pasta flour and Semolina, it's great.
It does sound good. If we do build a garage onto this house and redo the
kitchen space, I might have sufficient area to dry a batch of pasta.
Right now, it would be dicey, if there's enough room or not. (G)

JK> Yes, good kimchee is so worth it to me :)
We've found that we like the cucumber kim chee better than the cabbage.
It's not quite as hot but has a good flavor to it we've not always found
to be so with cabbage.
