James, maybe you've hit on something there.  I've seen several posts now from 
people who have problems with netscape hanging, or crashing at start up.  I 
don't have any of those problems at all.  I don't use linkup, and instead 
invoke netscape through the start command pointing to a cmd file containing 
the lines to start netscape.  Works here, with icq, with no problems.
