-> JP> Neat trick that would be. If not for the long curring time, -> JP> RTV would do better and remain supple. (R)oom (T)emperature -> JP> (V)ulcanizing better know as silicone, in tubes. -> But stil lvbery dangerious. If anything sets up too good you will have -> trouble later seperating the Heat Sink and the CPU possabibly causeing -> damage to the CPU itself. While not endorcing the practice under discussion I know for a fact ether starting fluid will cut right through well set epoxy. Do this OUTSIDE away from any possible ignition sources. Of course it may well also separate any bonded surfaces in the CPU never intended to come apart but this is speculation. Not sure about starting fluid's effect on other adhesives though. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
