It was obviously a severe lapse of etiquette, sending out dumb test
messages. Almost as silly as recently when I posted a for sale message
in Aust_Telecom, for a non-Austel approved modem. When I was selecting
conferences on the City BBS, all I could see was Aust_T, which I
incorrectly guessed was Aust_Trading.
