subject: This Echo...

BF> Well, it's been a while since I've dropped by this echo, mainly
BF> becuase of the dictatorship-ness of the moderator, and it turns out
BF> to my suprise he's gone, so maybe this base can actually do something
BF> again???
BF> Of course, it will need a new moderator to do so. Does anybody
BF> care? Should this base go on, or should we at least TRY to bring it
BF> out of the depths that it's sunken to???
BF> If you folks want, I could assume the moderation of this echo. I've
BF> been a FIDO Sysop for just under 2 years now, and had helped
BF> co-moderate the GAMING Echo (had to quit becuase my job took over my
BF> life for a while). Anyhow, if I get enough responses (2 or 3?) of
BF> people saying they'd like to see this echo live on, I'll look into
BF> it...
Brad (and all other echo participants),
In an effort to keep the echo alive, I have already taken the
liberty to relist the echo, so there is no danger of losing it any time soon.
I can either moderate it or pass the title on to someone else if that is what
a majority want. My primary concern at first is the language being used here
has gotten out of control and needs to be tamed a little. Many people have
been turned away from the echo because of the language and flaming. This has
got to end if this will be a productive echo.
A little about me... I've been a participant on and off in this echo for as
long as my board has been involved with Fidonet- going on 4 years now. I've
been moderating Fidonet echos for 3 years now, and currently moderate 4 Fido
echos- COINS, HOBBIES, STAMPS, and Z1_CHAT. Also, I've been in the coin
operated machine business for over thirteen years. Let's keep this echo
alive. It has alot of potential since Nelson isn't posting his crap and the
former moderator is gone.
                             Thomas
