I get 28.8 and lower, usually 21.6 and overall it works until it decides to
drop carrier. I don't see why and my tweeking seems to help, but now instead
of 1-2 min. online, I may last 5min.

The ats86 reports 000, but then I have to reboot to get the system up and
running so it may clear any status.

I run a bbs and leave alot of that out, plus any other setting that maybe
used once in a while, so I only leave in what's absolutly needed for Windows
and general system. The internet dialer is from TotalAccess provided by
Earthlink and once that runs, I switch to Netscape 3.0. My SupraFAX288 has
always worked in any other comm. pgm. but seems to fail under NS3.0. I
beginning to wonder if all those inet graphics is too much for the modem. I'm
about to reach for Earthlink's tech support and will give it a whirl, but I'm
not going to fiddle forever, if they can't come up with a solution, I'll drop
them. I really don't think the Supra is at fault but it's that or the inet
s/w. poop -_-_-Bill
