Been using Binkley since Bink came to be....and can say I am not having Terminal problems calling ANSII systems with v2.60. You are using strong words to say Hello to everyone. RW> Many times, when calling a bbs which insists on using ansi graphics, RW> I've gotta wade through all that crappola. AS a speech user the RW> garbage characters obscure prompts, etc which are necessary. Sounds like your system is not running an ansi.com/vfossil correctly. RW> To compound the problem, the damn terminal seems to want to omit RW> characters in the middle of words, etc. Sounds like a misconfiguration, bad comm fossil load or bad connection. Does not happen on this XT or the AT over here. RW> THis makes it almost unusable as a reliable terminal mode. RW> All of the systems I'm calling with it use n 8 1, but, I can access RW> them with any other term program and have no problem. This problem RW> doesn't occur with any consistency, just at certain times. Because it can't be duplicated at will, sounds like your system. Remember, BinkleyTerm is a front end MAILER. It has a built in quick, no frills, SYSOP terminal program that is supposed to be NO FRILLS. If you want bells and whistles, use the terminal programs you mention. We, the real long term users of BinkleyTerm like our little Terminal. It does not take a whole lot of memory away from our mailer. Please don't come in here and say our Terminal program should be dropped from this very good package. You will do more irritating then reception of good help to fix your problems.
