The 49ers traded Dave Neuman to the Jets for saying:
DN> Your confidence is ridiculous. You can't see inside specific peoples
 DN> heads.
"Baseball today is not what it should be. The players do not try to learn all
the fine points of the game as in the days of old, but simply to to get by."
"It makes me weep to think of the men of the old days who played the game and
the boys of today. It's positively a shame, and they are getting big money
for it, too."
Ted Williams? Hank Aaron? Willie Mays? Johnny Bench? No, the person that
uttered that was Bill Joyce and he did that in 1916.
Trust me, Dave, you and your friends are saying NOTHING new and what they
are saying has been in the press long before they said it.
DN> It's never about more than money, in the end. Every detail.. licensing,
DN> benefits, etc.. all comes down to money.
This has nothing to do with "money" or the "greed" that you are talking about
the strikes being about. MANAGEMENT'S positions have all been about money and
their keeping as much of it for themselves without having to pay the players
(past or current) any kind of benefits.
