Drop the "consisting of thousands of nodes". It designates a number.
What happens /IF/ Fidonet drops to 999 Nodes? Don't say that it can't
happen or that Fidonet will die before then. Remember, Fidonet started
with only a "few" Nodes passing mail... and as long as there are two
Nodes in two different places, it is still a "global network". :-)
