MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Spitzbuben (Urchins)
 Categories: Cookies, Snacks, Nuts, Fruits
      Yield: 20 cookies

      2 c  Flour
     12 tb Butter, softened
      1 c  Sugar
    1/2 c  Almonds; coarse chopped
           Jam
           Powdered sugar

  Beat together flour, butter, sugar and almonds to a smooth
  dough. Chill.

  Roll out 1/8" thickness on floured board. Cut into 2"
  circles with a biscuit cutter. Cut out centers out of half
  the circles.

  Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 350+.F/175+.C for 12 to 15
  minutes.

  Remove from baking sheet. Put jam on bottom cookies and
  place rings on top. Dust with powdered sugar.
