CA>TW> I would say that detecting a Printer, correctly identifying
CA>TW> it, Going throgh a "Set up Routine" and NOT haveing it WORK
CA>TW> might, don't you think?

CA>Printer manuf were some of the _first_ to attempt to become
CA>proprietary to force customers to remain 'loyal' or find
CA>themselves scrambling for printer drivers. Users needing
CA>printer drivers was one of the more common topics on FIDO and
CA>elsewhere. I think you are blaming KNOPPIX for a problem
CA>created by the printer manuf.

This was one of the MOST compatable Laser printers in the
World. A Hewlett Packard 6P with backward compatablity going all the
way back to the HP LaserJet II.
BUT it was just some Small glitch. One I don't understand but a "Glitch"
never the less.
