Baloney. The bands don't want to pay the labor bill for a overtime show to
the stagehands (and teamsters, if the trucks at the venue are handled by
them), so they try to observe the time more carefully. This is also why club
dates are far more likely to start/run late... it's rarely (usually -never-)
a union gig, so who cares if the low paid work has to be there till 4am doing
a load out. When you're looking at a $12,000 labor bill in some arena, you
watch more carefully how you waste time.
