CA>That one difference apparently changes things a lot. I used the CA>auto-run bootup from the CD. CA>TW> I did also try the First two test by allowing the Computer CA>TW> to BOOT from the Win98 CD I had never tried it that was CA>TW> before and was supprised that the Routine was Different CA>TW> slightly. CA>TW> For Test 1: the CD boot routine detected teh Bare(Un CA>TW> Fdiskes/Fromatted Drive) and ASKED if I wanted to prepair CA>TW> it. When I picked YES it FDisked the drive and then called CA>TW> for a reboot. Upon Reboot it detected that the drive was CA>TW> unformatted and Formatted it. CA>As I recall this the _way_ it asks if you want to 'prepare' to CA>install is a bit misleading - or at least it mislead me. Well I suspect the Typical Computer would undeerstand that a little more then having it say FDISK. For "Prepair" most would think Why NOT? For "FDISK" their reaction would be "WHAT"? --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
