It is rather easy to do, provided you'll get the right leads of course. You probably saw a few messages earlier there was something about a mysterious 192.168.2.100 Now, when scrutenizing once again the SMC-routier status page, I noticed there on the DHCP client log: ip=192.168.2.100 mac=00-A0-24-7C-8D-33 ip=192.168.2.101 mac=00-0D-60-7E-49-96 Took an educated guess, and replaced in netdrive my former "to laptop settings" to 192.168.1.101, and yes, that was/is it.The router assigns to my main system a fixed 192.168.2.100 ip address and to my laptop a fixed 192.168.2.101 address. So, basically, the easy way when moving to a routier is: Set simply all to be connected PC in tcpcfg2 to dhcp; Look at the dhcp client's log in the router status page and replace in your netdrive or ftp settings what is there by the new values. ftp passwords etc... already had been set of course, otherwise I would never have had connected my two PC directly. I mean, I hadn't to alter that. But of course, if ftp isn't set in the security (tcpcfg2 security page) , then that is one more step to perform. You don't need netdrive of course. You can simply launch the standard command line ftp too, just as Don is doing now and doing for years already (I presume). As a matter of fact, for operations like these Netdrive only is useful when you are copying by menas of a file commander. Well, once again my prediction was fulfilled: it was easy in the end but not easy to get it.
