RJT> TW> IF tyhe CD was set up to do an automatic partitioning without RJT> TW> telling you that would not help I don't think. RJT> TW> But doing Test Runs on a spare drive sounds like the way to go. --- RJT>I don't recall what the CD does, it's the standard 98 cd. I used to use ' RJT>all the time, building systems, but that was 5-6 years ago... I set up a Win98SE system using a Generic OEM CD and don't recal lit doing any partitioning and Formatting at all. YOU had to manualy set up the hard drive usoing the EBD. Only one time did I ever use a "Recovery Disk " version and it was a custom one set up the install Win95 on some Compaq Deskpro 486/66 machines. But even that one need the Hard Drive to be prepaired manualy before the OS install. Will be interesting to read the report of your test results. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
