The 49ers traded Alan Hess to the Jets for saying:
AH> we eventually got, if any, we wanted to either be named "Colts" or be
AH> given a new name. We didn't want anybody else's history, and we still
AH> want our Colts history back.
I disagree with the history part. The Browns name can be sent back and that's
all well and good but you never saw the Baltimore Colts accept the history of
the losers that came before them with the same name and later folded. I've
compiled W-L totals for the NFL and I've included the Browns' wins with those
of the Ravens because EVERY team has taken their history with them and I
don't recognize Cleveland's *claim* (If that's the case then let's purge the
records of the Chiefs, Cardinals, Raiders, Colts, Bears, Lions, Rams,
Chargers and Redskins).
