Um... it really *is* true that it started in the USA, regardless of how far
it's spread thereafter.  Truth is not an insult per se.  But it's also true
that where it started, while important to a history of FIDOnet is
irrelevant to this document.  Even the date is only marginally so, though
I'd leave it in because of that margin.  Just pull the line
"consisting of thousands of nodes" and the quoted sample is fine.
