      Title: Forfar Bridies
 Categories: Main dish, Beef, Pie
      Yield: 1 Servings
 
      1 lb Lean round steak
    1/3 c  Minced onion
           Salt and pepper to taste
           Milk
           Butter or margarine
           Prepared flaky pastry
 
  Preheat oven to 400F.
  
  Cut steak in very thin diagonal strips, 1-2" long.
  
  Roll out pastry and cut into 6" circles.  Divide meat evenly amongst
  pastry circles.  Sprinkle each with a little onion and a dab of
  butter. Season.
  
  Wet the rims of the pastry circles with an ice cube, fold over to make
  crescents, and pinch edges tightly.  Make two vents in the top of each
  pastry.  Brush with milk and bake for about 45 minutes, or until
  golden brown.
  
  Can be served hot or cold.
