Paul, I just got my new motherboard with 16 meg of RAM. I gave slow down problem another go with an 8 meg disk cache. The results I got from 4 tests (opening and closing another OS/2 session 10 times in between) were: elapsed 4 8 3 3 elapsed 4 9 4 4 As you can see, it suffered a slowdown on the second attempt, then it went back to normal. The slow down isn't in the same order of magnitude as yours was, but it is still there. This may just be a glitch due to memory being paged in and out, although I didn't notice an disk activity. I am still running OS/2 2.0, but I got the 2.1 upgrade the other day. I'll install it on the weekend and try again.
