Ok, it was that dreaded time.
The cats needed a bath.....
Don and I Gurded our loins (literally) and wore flack suits (almost
literally). Heavy gloves.
By the time we were dressed, they *knew* it boded no good.
First you take Face (our Black longhair Kat). While making gyrations
impossible to anyone not 2 years old, or bathing a Kat, you catch her and
trap her in the bathroom. By now, you hear the other 2 Kats at the door,
egging her on to !escape! No chance though. Don and i are experienced Kat
bathers. Short of flushing herself down the toilet, there is no egress from
the bathroom.
5 mins later, a wet Kat is allowed to escape. Flea dip accomplished.
Now it's time to catch the next Kat! Thats Roscoe. He's the hardest to
bathe. Next hardest to catch. (Face is hardest to catch).
3 mins later, and several moments of pure levitation, Roscoe emerges. He is
dripping about 1 gallon of water and weighs almost 1/3 more than normal til
he dries off. He's !miffed! as only a wet Himalayan can be. He stomps out
to the back porch to dry off, next to Face.
Now comes the easy one. Thom Kat. The only hard part about bathing him, is
picking him up. He's sitting there, next to the bathroom, moping a little.
Little bit bashful looking. We go 'here Thom, your turn' and he quietly but
slowly enters the !dreaded flea dip room!. Lifted into the tub, he just
quietly crowches in the lukewarm water. There's a lot of him, so it takes 6
mins to wash and rinse him off. We drain the tub, and he saunters out to the
porch to comismerate with the others....
So, what did YOU all do today?
xxcarol
