Hey, I gotta call 'em like I see 'em. I was totally impressed with your
handling of the situation. Especially considering the challenging and
less-than-friendly message that Pearson posted.
RG> Fidonet is a hobby -- it's supposed to be *fun*.
It's amazing how many folks lose sight of that fact...
RG> Of course, waaayyy off-topic stuff (chain letters, sex ads,

Yep! Otherwise, we'd be no different than the average alt.* newsgroup.

RG> the North American Backbone only requires five messages per month.)
Wow, I had no idea the requirement was that low. Thanks!
RM>> Agreed. And IMHO, my Beta decks SOUND better, too. ;-)
RG> [grin]
So are you an audio hobbyist? If so, please tell us a little bit about
your interests. What? OK, I'll go first. ;-)
I've been an audio hobbyist since the late 60's. I'm a 'software type'
who gave up chasing the state-of-the-art in hardware about two decades
ago. Nowadays, I'm happy with a system that's middle-of-the-road by
audiophile standards; I demand competence from my stereo system, but
not excellence. I prefer to spend the extra dosh on CDs. And to
be honest, my ears ain't what they used to be; a truly accurate stereo
sytem would be wasted on them. :-/
