Using the /U switch on an EIDE drive will trash the on-drive BIOS
enhancing features, and turn your nice 9ms EIDE drive into a 14ms IDE drive.
It's not recommended that you use that, unless you're prepared to deal with
the consequences.
I'm surprised that drive manufacturers don't put code in the BIOS on
the drive that will overwrite the boot sector or the last two sectors when
it spins up. 'Tis a good idea...
