I was referring to the 8 second CID delay that Terry S alone sees and is so
maniacal about.
I don't normally use the adaptive fax capability, but after seeing so much
heated discussion here on how it doesn't work, I went back and enabled it
(using both BinkleyTerm's internal fax receive and spawning to BGFAX), and
found that it worked perectly for me 90% of the time. My personal take is
that if fax is that critical for you, a dedicated fax machine is what you
need and not a fax/modem. I want the modem to perform its primary
function, and fax is just "icing on the cake" for me. Just my
personal opinion.
