Does the telegard sysop logs show anything at all? is there a common
spot where it crashes? Like if it always crashed at the point when
displaying automessage or main menu? Might also post your config.sys
and autoexec.bat. 

The TASK switch is only used if you are using the TASK environment
variable, this eliminates the /N:x switch (doing this form memory :> ).
