I was referring to TYPE and MODE in ->

Award BIOS Setup -> STANDARD CMOS SETUP ->

HARD DISKS	TYPE	SIZE	CYLS	HEAD	PRECOMP	LANDZ	SECTOR	MODE
Primary Master
Primary Slave
Secondary Master
Secondary Slave

For IDE CDROM to boot, its line must be set either to TYPE=None or to
TYPE=Auto, MODE=AUTO
