I have a MOZPROFILES directory and I use SET MOZILLA_HOME=H:\MOZPROFILES
in my config.sys. this keeps all of the things you mention above
seperate from the directory that has the exe files in it. When I up
grade I just delete the directory with the exe in it and unzip the new
version on to the proper partition. All the stuff in the Mozprofiles is
untouched. I
believe there is a version thay contains an installer but I haven't used
that in a long time so I'm not sure how that works.

Mozilla, Firefox and Tbird all build their own directorys in
MOZPROFILES. I have been using this method for so long I can't remember
exactly how I did it the first time. I think I just did a fresh install
and then manually moved bookmards etc the first time.

Regards, Jim
