Uhh ... dude, before you go flying off the handle ... 

I HAVE FrontDoor running here via telnet and HAVE been.  It answers all 3 of 
my nodes.  That's how I get my fidonet mail.  I have 2.33.mL ... reg'd it 
when it was 2.20c.mL ... I loved sending my money to sweden, just loved that 
$4.00 stamp!

The original poster was talking about having it just "poll" out
while someone 
is online.  For one, you'd have to have another TASK and another "com port 
virtual" setup to do so, and the user would see NOTHING while it did this.
