I'm not asking for the "easy configuration", whatever that is supposed 
to be. If I have to perform a complete re-install just to link my PC to 
my laptop, then we are already far byond the scope of easy matters.
I hadn't to re-install in order to link my 2 pc by means of a second nic 
in the main PC. That was real easy to do.


Now, as you told, I've assigned 192.168.2.2 to the main PC. after 
reboot, when going to http://192.168.2.1 I get:

Duplicate administratot
This device is managed by 192.168.2.100
****

I have no idea where this might come from, and of course there isn't any 
internet connection either.
