Well, the problem is that I wasn't CREATING a fidouser.lst...I was using an 
OLD one and Max is probably smart enough to know not to use a fidouser.lst 
that is older than the compiled nodelist (by several YEARS! ) My 
FIDOUSER.LST file was from like 1994... :)
