so have you calculated (or even thought about) how long it takes to
retransmit those huge files to numerous downlinks at only 512k-768k
transmit speeds?

while i have 3M receive, my transmit is only ~512k... i have at least 5
nodes pulling all files areas so on days that i get eg: 100M, my system has
to transmit 500M but at 512k speed that's 1/4th of your transmit speed... i
won't even mention all the other traffic that my pipe has to carry as
well... upgrade? not likely... we're lucky to have this out here 15mi
(24km) from town...
