Its all according to what you wanna do. If you use a class library on
top of OS/2, then the extent to which you need to know PM is inverse of
the extent to which that class library system lets PM show through to
you. For some, you might care less what is underneath the hood, for
others you will need more knowledge. I think it would be worth
understanding at least the basics of raw PM programming regardless, so
that you know what is going on when something bad happens.
