It is independant of the kernel revision

del \os2\boot\os2norev.$$$
and the kernel lists its revision at bootup.

It is a plain text file and can simply rebuilded by
echo . >\os2\boot\os2norev.$$$ when needed as the content counts 
nothing but the pure existence hinders the kernel on publishing its 
revision.
